Flirt Pole (Buggy Whip) For Prey Drive Development

This is about prey development. You need to have in the dog prey and defense. In my protection training, I believe dogs should be built on defense, but that doesn't mean we need to neglect prey. Defense in protection when the dog wins, the decoy will run away, and we chase after the decoy, which is a release for the dog and gives them the sensation of winning.

So we do use it in protection, defense, and prey also, in law enforcement, the dog is chasing somebody to catch you that's also prey. So the, drives like defense and prey drive are inherited, but what they are used on it's learned. So in protection, we want to make sure that the prey and defense are targeting the man that's in my style of training.

We don't target equipment, but in preyed, driven exercises, I mean, practical use of the dog like in a search and rescue or detection for explosives, for narcotics, or whatever we are utilizing prey. So we need to develop the prey, right? If you don't develop it, it'll die out. So from a little puppy, we develop the prey.
